We are delighted to announce the Old Wortley Hotel has been featured in the May/June 2025 issue of True West Magazine, bringing renewed attention to our little piece of the American West! As one of the most widely-read publications on our neck of the woods, we’re honored by our inclusion on their list of historic hotels of the American West.

The magazine article shows the modern frontiersman how the Wortley Hotel serves as a tangible connection to Lincoln's role as the county seat during one of the most violent periods in territorial New Mexico. Though no longer “the most dangerous street in America,” the hotel’s location on Lincoln's main street makes it a natural gathering place for travelers, merchants, cattlemen, and the various personalities that make the west wild, then and now.
